About the Role

Upper Canada Forest Group is actively recruiting a Driver. If you have experience driving a 30ft - 45ft tractor trailer - we would like to hear from you.

You will be responsible for

  • Incumbent will be responsible for driving a 30 ft - 45 ft tractor trailer curtain side truck
  • Operate a tractor/trailer unit in city traffic
  • Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, driver’s hours, occupational health and safety, and applicable traffic laws
  • Physically capable to tie down loads properly
  • Must be able to tarp and ensure safety and security of cargo, oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment, perform brake adjustments, monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
  • Perform pre-trip vehicle inspection to ensure mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order
  • Maintain daily logs, inspection logs and other necessary paperwork
  • Fill reports such as Driver logbook, inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, accident or incident reports
  • Greet our customers in a positive and professional manner
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Possess a valid AZ license
  • Completion of high school
  • Minimum 3 years behind the wheel experience driving in multiple states
  • Must have a clean MVR
  • Must have good oral communication skills and be able to work with others; must be able to speak, read & write English
  • Work overtime as required
  • Able to work between the hours of 5:00am to 3:00pm
  • Must have the physical capabilities required to drive a truck for long periods
  • Physically capable to open and close curtains on the trailer, strap and secure the load
  • Possess a positive, professional attitude
