Specifications
Fabrication
AVONITE™ is composed of 63% Alumina Trihydrate, 35% Acrylic, and 2% binder. Solid surface materials are thermoformable, allowing them to be shaped to curved and flat designs with heat and pressure. They are translucent and can be made monochromatic with colour matched adhesives. AVONITE™ uses a double belt press production system, where top and bottom belts apply continuous heat and pressure to the acrylic and resin materials. This process is highly efficient and results in a stable, consistent, and beautifully translucent solid surface.Care & Maintenance
AVONITE™ is non-porous and easy to clean. Most stains and smudges can be cleaned with soap and water. For more stubborn stains use a household cleaner and cleaning pad. For high gloss finishes, some polishing with a polishing compound and soft cloth may be necessary to maintain a beautiful glossy surface. To remove scratches, sand the surface before applying cleanser or polish as necessary. Please consult the Cleaning Guide for more information on care and maintenance.
