TSCA VI Compliance

Policy for Sourcing TSCA VI Compliant Products

It is the policy of UCS Forest Group, Inc. (and its operating Divisions: Upper Canada Forest Products Ltd., Sierra Forest Products, Inc., UCS Global and A&M Wood Specialty Inc.) to follow the rules and regulations provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

TSCA (Toxic Substances Control Act) Title VI formaldehyde standards applies to medium density fiberboard (MDF), particleboard and hardwood plywood products manufactured in, imported into, or sold in the United States. As a distributor of hardwood plywood, softwood plywood and other composite wood products, Sierra Forest Products, Inc. must ensure its customers have confidence that all products we sell are TSCA VI compliant.

UCS Forest Group, Inc. has a well-documented compliance record with FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), CARB (California Air Resources Board) and CARB 2 and other comparable environmental regulations. We have purchasing and inventory control processes in place to ensure we sell products that meet this new environmental standard.

UCS Forest Group, Inc. will ensure all its products will be labeled as of the compliance date of June 1, 2018, set by the EPA. UCS Forest Group, Inc. will comply with the EPA rules that require all regulated composite wood products manufactured or imported into the U.S. be CARB Phase 2 compliant or TSCA VI compliant as of June 1, 2018. Further, beginning March 22, 2019 all regulated composite wood products imported into the U.S. by UCS Forest Group will be TSCA VI compliant.
