Elegance Maple panels are made of premium single piece core veneers from sustainable European poplar plantations which provide extraordinarily lightweight panels. They are easy to machine, virtually void-free with no telegraphing, with exceptional bond quality, flatness, stability and machining properties. B Grade Plywood
B Grade White Maple is a high-quality plywood material commonly used for cabinetry and interiory furniture. It features a smooth, clear surface with few characteristics like knots or streaks. Discoloration is not apparent. B Grade plywood is ideal for applications where appearance is important.
Grading Hardwood Plywood is inherently a subjective and difficult process, as although the standard gives rules for specific numbers of defects, there is always personal or operational bias when it comes to the overall appearance of a particular surface. From one grade to the next, not only does variation in appearance get wider, but the amount of overlap between the low end of one grade and the higher end of the next grade down gets wider as well. Because of the inherent individuality of each tree and species, consideration should be given to the overall appearance of the veneer face to determine the appropriate grade for that veneer.
Colour Specification:
Elegance Maple is offered in the White Colour Grade, which is made of the beautiful, ubiquitously desired white sapwood found in the Maple tree.
Rotary Cut
The Maple Veneer bonded to the poplar core is rotary cut, which produces veneers with very distinctive grain patterns. The log rotates toward the blade and is peeled in long, wide sheets. Rotary cut is the only cutting method capable of producing whole piece faces.
