European White Oak is a beautifully reliable and consistent lumber choice. Benefits of Plain Sawn Lumber:
Cutting tangentially through the tree’s growth rings, Plain Sawn Cherry utilizes the entire log while minimizing waste. The result is a grain pattern that displays a very traditional cathedral pattern.

Specifications
Character Grade
Character Grade allows for sap on the edges and very limited sap on both faces. Small sound and live knots of 30mm diameter maximum are permitted on the boards. This grade highlights the authentic textures and tones of natural wood and strikes a beautiful balance as it features some knots that add a touch of rustic allure. Sourced from the middle part of the tree, Character Grade is a popular choice for those seeking a warm and inviting ambiance in their living spaces.

Colour and Appearance
European White Oak has a light brown colour with golden or yellowish hues. It is olive cast and when compared to domestic White Oak. The texture is coarse and uneven. European Oak boasts premium colour and grain consistency due to its concentrated growing regions, having less variation than in American White Oak.
Workability
European White Oak is highly stable, making it ideal for intricate woodworking and long-lasting projects. It is versatile and durable and has excellent resistance to decay and moisture due to its grain structure.
