Moisture Resistance
Fibralux® MR NAF MR50 can be used for non-load bearing applications in humid conditions. The product meets the criteria required for the MR50 / grade 115 designation (ANSI A208.2-2016). MR50 MDF is ideal for all interior, non-structural applications where periodic humidity exposure is a factor.
Fire Resistance
Flame Spread Rating: ASTM E-84 Class A; CAN/ULC-S102
Fibralux® is designed for areas requiring reduced fire reaction, flame spread, and smoke development.
Workability
Fibralux® MDF is incredibly stable and workable. Sanded smooth with a consistent core, Fibralux® takes detailed machining well. Fibralux® is ideal for interior decoration, skirtings and profiles, and acoustic and wall paneling. Unilin MDF is incredibly stable because of its unique close-binding fabrication. Fabrication
Fiberboard panels are created using fine wood particles reduced to fibers through steam, then combined with a resin and bonded together under heat and pressure. The texture is smooth and close-grained, creating a smoother surface than Particle Board cores. This uniform texture creates homogenous panels that are ideal for paint, veneers, or decorative laminates.
