Guide to Maintaining Fireshield®:

• Panels should not be subjected to extreme conditions during storage, e.g. abrupt changes in moisture or temperature, direct sunlight, rain, high temperatures, etc.
• Avoid direct contact with any potentially harmful agents, e.g. water puddles, soil, moss, fungus, etc.
• Avoid using mechanical handling systems, steel straps or other equipment harder than wood, as these may cause damage to the panels.
• Any treatment, handling or re-processing of panels may modify the inner characteristics of the poplar plywood, resulting in potentially serious defects.
• The surfaces where panels are installed should be clean, stable, and comply with humidity indications, flatness, etc.

Fire Resistance

Fireshield® plywood has the highest certifications for flame resistance. Fireshield® significantly reduces the speed of carbonization, generation of smoke and flame propagation, without falling flaming particles. 100% of the panel is fire resistant even after sanding or machining.

Plywood Grading BB:

Imported plywood (poplar) grading system BB: The front face Poplar panel is graded BB, a high grade which allows for light mineral streaks and a very limited number of knots and splits. BB face is generally even in colour. Single piece face veneer allows small tight pin knots. Veneer Core consists of one or more plies of poplar veneer, each sheet laid with the grain direction at a right angle to the adjacent sheets to create an exceptionally durable and bonded core.

Rotary Sliced:

Fireshield® Poplar face is rotary sliced, which produces veneers with very distinctive grain patterns. The log rotates toward the blade and is peeled in long, wide sheets. Rotary cut is the only cutting method capable of producing whole, single piece faces.
