Red Grandis™ by URUFOR lumber is a sustainable and functional alternative to mahogany, meranti, or sapele. Like other exotic species, it has exceptional dimensional stability and is resistant to rot, mould, and decay. Red Grandis™ is medium-grained, reddish, and is highly workable as it glues, stains, and finishes well.

Workability
Like other exotic species, Eucalyptus has exceptional dimensional stability and is resistant to rot, mould, and decay. Red Grandis™ is medium-grained and is highly workable as it glues, stains, and finishes well.
Prime Grade Lumber:
Using the National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA) Grading standard, Prime Lumber is a premium grade. Developed for the European export market, Prime captures grades within the Select and Better and FAS 1 Face and better grades and ensures only the very best production, drying and packaging standards are used to meet the demands of that market.
Prime Grade boards are designed to meet a minimum yield of 83 ⅓ % (10/12ths) clear-wood cuttings on the best face. Allowed widths start at 6” and wider before kiln drying with lengths 7’ and longer.

Colour/Appearance
The heartwood is a uniform, pinkish light brown colour. The sapwood, which is usually narrow, is lighter in colour. The coloration of the wood tends to deepen with age. The wood is straight grained, with a medium to medium-coarse texture, medium sized pores and fine lines.
