In order to maintain the life and appearance of your Prism TFL, ARAUCO suggests these guidelines:

After installing the panels, remove adhesives with paint lacquer thinner or contact adhesive solvent.

• Continued use of solvent cleaners is not recommended.

• Coffee, tea or other difficult stains may be removed using a mild household detergent or a paste of baking soda and water (note: 10-20 strokes should remove most stains, excessive force or scrubbing may damage the surface).

• Should the surface come in contact with drain, toilet or oven cleaner immediately remove the chemical, rinse thoroughly and wipe dry.

• Abrasives such as sourcing pads or gritty cleansers may permanently dull and/or scratch the surface and result in future staining.

• Do not place hot cookware, dishes or objects onto the surface. Knives and other sharp objects used directly on the surface can also be damaging. Protect surfaces from heat with an insulating pad or trivet, and from sharp objects with a chopping block or counter protector.

Maintaining Prism TFL Panels:

Prism TFL Panels are easy to clean and maintain. After installation, remove any remaining adhesives with paint lacquer thinner or contact adhesive solvent. For general cleaning, use mild, non-abrasive, all-purpose cleaner and a soft cloth. Tougher stains may be removed using a mild household detergent or paste of baking soda and water. Avoid excessive scrubbing and harsh or abrasive chemicals and materials. Protect your Prism TFL by not placing hot objects directly on the panel and avoid direct contact with sharp cutting tools.

Regular proper care can help ensure the continued vibrance and performance of your panels.

Fire Resistance:

Prism TFL laminated on ARAUCO’s fire-rated particleboard at the Albany, OR laminating facility are classified by Intertek Testing Services NA, Inc. to have a Class A or Class I flame spread rating.

Sustainability:

ARAUCO Prism TFL is manufactured using composite panel substrates sourced from recycled, recovered, and/or FSC® certified wood. Prism TFL and substrates are certified EPA TSCA Title VI/CARB-2 and meets relevant green building requirements. ARAUCO offers cradle-to-gate information through the Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for particleboard and MDF manufactured in North America.
