Master Oak Checks in at Renovated Lufthansa Lounge
Throughout the newly renovated Lufthansa Lounge, distinctive warm oak tones, soft lighting and a streamlined layout feature—bringing the elegance of Lufthansa aircraft interiors to the ground with Unilin Master Oak.
At the heart of the newly renovated Lufthansa Lounge at Newark Liberty International Airport lies Unilin Master Oak Light Natural. Used throughout the space, the material adds a calming, natural touch to the busy airport environment. Light Natural decorative paneling looks and feels like real oak veneer, lending a premium, serene experience to the traveler before and after take-off through the wall paneling, counters and dividers.

Kitzig Interior Design and Mancini Duffy chose the ever-durable and elegant Light Natural due to the high-traffic needs of the space. Master Oak will stay beautiful under years of pressure through busy days and consistent use.
Unilin’s color and grain consistency will also allow Lufthansa to renovate their other lounges throughout airports around the world in the same design style—associating the airline with the elegant, natural feel derived from Master Oak.
Why Unilin?
The Master Oak Collection is a perfect blend of sustainable and durable materials emulating the look and feel of natural wood. Master Oak decorative panels imitates the woodgrain patterns of the architecturally popular oak but with the added benefits of better scratch resistance, easy maintenance and a more budget-friendly alternative to veneer or solid wood.
Unilin’s high-quality panels use 100% recovered wood substrates which come in a variety of natural wood tones and neutrals. By using reclaimed wood as a raw material, Unilin promotes sustainable products and processes. Through its implementation of Unilin Master Oak, the Lufthansa Lounge boasts timeless beauty and sustainable materials.
