Transforming Upper Canada Forest Product's Head Office
In 2023, our team seized the opportunity to recreate, redesign, and reimagine the Upper Canada Forest Products Head Office. The goal was to create a more functional and sustainable environment which reflected core company values in a dynamic, people-focused workspace.
By partnering with local manufacturers and incorporating high-quality products, the Yonge Street office is a space revitalized in every aspect—from the executive offices to the welcoming reception area.
A core value of the Upper Canada Forest Products is sustainability and understanding the need for biophilic design for both the health of the planet and their people. This office was designed to foster natural inspiration and well-being to encourage the flow of energy by incorporating classic wood products in innovative applications.

One such focal point of the office is the inimitable reception area, featuring a White Oak desk like no other. Paying homage to the classic lumber bundle, here an industry staple is elevated into a beautiful and stately reception desk. It is a visual representation of our roots from the first step into the office.
Utilizing relationships with vendors like Uniboard®, Rehau, and Olon®, the wall paneling, tabletops, cabinetry, desks and shelving throughout the office are made from the finest materials.
Perhaps the most distinctive area of the Yonge Street Office is the central boardroom. Each section of the office, from reception, the kitchen, to the executive spaces, breathes into this principal area. Centered here is a singularly striking live-edge Walnut table artfully crafted by Backwoods Timber Creations. Gorgeously detailed with natural character and a remarkable split down the middle, the Walnut table showcases the unparalleled beauty and pride we take in our wood products.
The confluence of artful craftsmanship, fine woodworking, and high-quality, sustainable materials is showcased throughout the Yonge Street Office. This space is respectful of tradition, elevated in design, and committed to the wellness of its team members.
