What is Roseburg?
Made from recycled content, all of Roseburg’s medium density fiberboard (MDF) products are designed to meet both conventional and green building needs. Whether moisture-resistant, flame-retardant or no-added formaldehyde (NAF), Roseburg has an MDF panel to suit every setting.
Armorite™
Manufactured with western softwoods and a formaldehyde-free resin and proprietary biocidal treatment process for rot and insect resistance, Armorite™ medium density fiberboard (MDF) provides superior strength with less weight and ensures easy nailing, machining and finishing.
Appropriate for cabinetry, trim, finishing carpentry and other traditional MDF applications, Amorite™ is also a practical option for certain above-ground exterior applications provided proper fastening and coating/finishing procedures are followed.
Arreis®
Manufactured from pre-consumer recycled wood fibre, Arreis® medium density fiberboard (MDF) meets the most stringent formaldehyde emission standards in the world. Roseburg’s manufacturing process utilizes a synthetic resin system to produce Arreis®, the ideal sustainable design fiberboard (SDF) for commercial interior applications.
Medex®
A highly versatile medium density fiberboard (MDF) panel utilizing a synthetic resin system and pre-consumer recycled wood fibre, Medex® is engineered for interior high moisture areas in non-structural applications and is used in place of sanded plywood or solid wood. With the versatility of a superior composite wood panel and the enhancement of indoor air quality, Medex® has been specified in hundreds of commercial, institutional and conservator projects.
Medite® FR
A sustainable Class 1 flame retardant medium density fiberboard (MDF) panel, Medite® FR is manufactured by a patented process which utilizes a synthetic resin system. During processing, an additive is blended with the fibers to provide flame-retardant proper ties throughout the board. Medite® FR is the ideal product for interior applications that require a certified Class 1 product and where certain indoor air quality requirements are specified.
Medite® II
A sustainable medium density fiberboard (MDF) panel utilizing a synthetic resin system and pre-consumer recycled wood fibre, Medite® II is engineered for non-structural applications and can be used in place of sanded plywood and solid wood for applications where higher physical proper ties than standard MDF are needed. Medite® II has been specified in hundreds of commercial, institutional and conservator projects.
Medite® Ultra
A high density, medium density fiberboard (MDF) panel with superior strength and machining capabilities, Medite® Ultra is ideal for interior applications where machining and paintability are valued including moulding, cabinet doors, etc.
Duramine® TFL
We also stock Roseburg’s Duramine® thermally fused laminate (TFL) panels. These panels consist of resin-saturated decorative papers thermally fused under heat and pressure as a substrate of Roseburg MDF. Duramine® provides a wide range of design options and the versatility of decorative composite panels for furniture, cabinetry, casework, and fixtures.
